EUforIA does not only aim at raising global awareness (inform) but, maybe even more importantly, also at encouraging young people to become active in their local context to have an impact on global issues (activate).

The EUforIA Youth Summit 2008 (EYS'08) allowed more than 100 young people to explore how they can get involved in the area of a global challenge crucial to them. As a direct result from the event, many new initiatives where started and we are impatient to see what all those highly motivated young people are going to achieve. As for now, the new projects undertaken by the participants of the EYS'08 are:

* Organizing the EUforIA Youth Weekend on Migration and Intercultural Dialogue (http://www.euforiaction.org/migration/)

* Organizing the EUforIA Youth Weekend on Consump(ac)tion (http://www.euforiaction.org/consumpaction/)

* Organizing the EUforIA Latin American Youth Summit 2010 (http://www.euforiaction.org/elays/)

* Organizing the EUforIA Youth Summit 2009 (http://www.euforiaction.org/eys09/)

* Organizing the Euro-Mediterranean Youth Summit 2010

* Joining Amnesty International, Ethnopoly, YouthRep, EvB, IDEM and other organizations promoting global change on a local scale

* Doing an exchange year in order to increase one's intercultural skills

* Starting a new Youth NGO aimed at raising global awareness and supporting motivated school kids in Switzerland

* Setting up a group of students in Geneva who will fight for the protection of indigeneous rights in Mexico

* Launching a new social entrepreneurship venture with solar energy projects in Senegal intended to facilite and cheapen access to energy for poor rural communities

* Promoting the Agenda 21 commitments in one's academic institution and local community

* Creating more awareness of and supporting projects of sustainabledevelopment in India

* Organizing charity concerts that aim at raising money for a good cause and creating more awareness for a particular global challenge

If you would like to join our efforts and raise global awareness among youth and encourage local youth activism with your own project, then please contact us right away (contact@euforiaction.org) and we will see how we can support you!
